Tournée on Test

by

As Stan’s PX rebuild nears completion, it’s time to think about tyres, and Anlas Tournée are his chosen rubber.

Regular readers may recall that a couple of years ago that Stan shod both his PX and GP with Anlas All Grip tyres for a spot of European riding. He was impressed with their roadholding, price, and durability, but all rubber wears out eventually. With his PX rebuild rapidly approaching the MOT station, he’s taken the opportunity to try another tyre from the Anlas range, their Tournée Sports tourer.

Anlas Tournee scooter tyre

The Tournée is a new-generation scooter tyre by Anlas that’s designed for the maxi scooter market, including scooters up to 650cc. The Tournée incorporates a radial carcass ply and zero degree steel belt that enable a safe and comfortable ride. A newly developed eco-friendly compound imparts superior grip and shorter braking distance to ensure the safety of the rider through curves under both dry and wet conditions. Whilst the All Grip tyre has a tread designed for all weather conditions, the Tournée’s more sporting profile has an aggressive appearance that’s designed to avoid aquaplaning, whilst also being suitable for long highway riding.

Available in a range of sizes to accommodate rims from 10” to 16”, the 350×10 Tournée is rated ‘59M’, meaning a maximum weight capacity of 243kg per tyre and a speed rating of 81mph. The Tournée typically retails between £35.00 to £44.00 in the UK, but if you’re prepared to get busy on the keyboard, you may find online deals from as little as £35 per tyre.
