Four familiar Faces on 40th anniversary photo

by

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Tramore Mods (Waterford, Ireland) and a very special fundraiser was organised to celebrate.

It may not have the same cache as Brighton, but Tramore has a long association with the Irish Mod scene, being a focal point of the 1980s revival in Ireland. To commemorate the anniversary of the 1983 gathering, a photo shoot was staged to recreate an image from the time. Taken by the same photographer, Joe Evans, it features four of the original members of the Waterford Faces Scooter Club from the 80s in Waterford.

Copies were printed as posters for sale locally, with all proceeds being donated to the palliative care team in University Hospital, Waterford. A total of €2030 was eventually raised, with a cheque being presented to the hospital by members of Kickstart Scooter Club and Only Fools on Scooters SC.

The organisers would like to thank Joe Evans and Dave Evans for all their support.
