A remarkable show of support from Yorkshire’s scooter community helped make 15-year-old Travis feel “like a king” as dozens of riders turned out to give him an unforgettable arrival at his school prom.
THE scooter community came together in style to give York teenager Travis a prom entrance he’ll never forget – and his mum says it’s a memory the family will treasure forever.
Following an appeal for riders to escort the 15-year-old to his school prom, scooterists from across the region answered the call, creating a spectacular convoy that ensured Travis arrived in unforgettable fashion.

The event proved to be an emotional success, with Travis not only enjoying the incredible escort but also being nominated Prom King – something his mum Charlotte believes may well have been helped by his spectacular arrival.
After the event, Charlotte took to social media to thank everyone who had supported the family.
She said: “Hey everyone. ❤️
“I’ve barely had any time to process everything, so I’m still making my way round to say a huge thank you. What an absolutely incredible day! 🛵✨
