Stolen Scooters

Have you had your scooter stolen recently??

If you have then let us know by filling in the Stolen scooters form>>

If you are unfortunate enough to have your scooter stolen, the FIRST thing you must do is report it to the police, as soon as possible.

This is both to satisfy your insurance company and of course to alert the police to keep a look out for it.

When informing the police please have as much information ready as possible. This includes registration number, VIN (frame) number, engine number, colour of vehicle, any distinguishing marks, where it was stolen from and when. If you have any other information that you think may be useful in tracing your scooter, offer this to the police as well. For the benefit of any insurance claim you may have to make, ask the police for a crime number.

Next it is advisable to do a bit of detective work of your own. Send the details to us here at Scootering (using the form below) and we'll post them on this website as soon as possible. It is also worth informing as many other scooter- people as possible, from online scooter forums to national clubs. We also advise you contact local clubs because we're all enthusiasts and you never know, someone may have seen something that may help in the recovery of your scooter.

At the very least, spreading the word around the scene quickly will make it very difficult for anyone to dispose of it.

And don't forget, if you are lucky enough to get your scooter back, please let EVERYBODY (including the police) know, otherwise you may end up being accidentally accused of scooter theft!
