Stolen scooter parts – keep your eyes open
By: Andy Gillard
Sadly the premises of JB Tuning in Southend, Essex were broken into on the night of Tuesday, October 4 and a number of items stolen, many of which can only be resold to scooterists.
As well as all of the shop's tools being stolen (from Snap On spanners and sockets etc, to Dremels, hand porting tools and related bit, drills welding gear and much more), there were also a large amount of specific scooter parts taken as follows:
58mm black Mec Eur cranks
30mm Dellorto carb kits
Mikuni TMK carb kits
RB225 kits
Chrome PM Tuning smallframe exhaust with blue tail can
Stage 6 rev counters
Newfren brake shoes and pads
Imola reeed valve kits
Imola kit pistons
Koso EGT gauges
Lambretta performance cylinder heads (TS1, RB, Imola etc)
Lambretta performance barrels
Gilera Runner scooter
So, if you are offered any of the above items from a suspicious source or at a price that seems too good to be true, then please bear this in mind and contact JB Tuning or the police as appropriate.
Thank you.
