Mersea Island Scooter Rally

Now in its 17th year, Colchester DVLC’s Mersea Island hadn’t let me down thus far and once again I wasn’t disappointed.
On me bruised and battered GTS, wristband procured and pop up tent erected (easy to put up, not so easy to take down and nigh on impossible to strap to scoot safely) and it was time for the first of many.
As I sauntered round the site snappin’, chattin’ and suppin’, it was clear that a number of continental clubs and solos were in attendance – as is the Mersea custom – with Sweden, Germany and Holland all well represented. Live music kicked off with Biff, Bang, Pow who delivered a predominantly Soul and R'n'B set to the appreciative early arrivals...
