Buyer beware – shop smart!

With reports of more than one scooter shop going in receivership recently, we'd like to remind customers out there in the scootering world to remember to take care when making your purchases.

The advice is that unless you are making the transaction in person and taking the goods away with you at the same time, is if at all possible try and use a credit card.

This is certainly applicable if you are buying mail order but also if you are planning to buy a scooter (new or second-hand). Whether doing so over the phone or over the shop counter, then again try to use a credit card. the reason for this is that the credit card companies offer an amount of protection against things such as fraud, product failure and if the shop get should into financial difficulties.

In the current climate, every penny counts.
